Ron And The Giant Blimp

(AP)
Ron Paul may be the only presidential candidate whose supporters get as much press as he does.

A 200-foot long blimp encouraging people to "Google Ron Paul," which was paid for by Paul supporters and is not affiliated with his campaign, is presently flying over North Carolina, according to the Associated Press. It "is scheduled to float up the East Coast past major cities," the AP reports.

The blimp marks just the latest example of a Ron Paul initiative that didn't come from Ron Paul. On just one day – November 5th – Paul supporters, in an independent initiative, raised more than $4 million for the presidential campaign of the Libertarian-leaning Republican congressman from Texas.

In the most recent CBS News/New York Times poll, Paul earned the support of 4 percent of Republican primary voters. But despite that relatively small figure, Paul's supporters are unusually passionate and internet savvy, and the candidate, who favors smaller government and opposes the Iraq war, has a disproportionately strong online presence.

Ron Paul is the only choice that one can make once they investigate all the candidates for themselves. Don''t let the media choose your next president for you. RonPaul2008.com

Ron Paul means freedom and liberty.

He is not a media establishment Neocon like Huckabee, Giuliani, McCain and Hillary. He wants to take the $1 trillion per year we currently spend on foreign adventurism and use it to meet out social obligations at home, repair the infrastructure and pay down the national debt. He says NO to more government intervention and NO to government spying and national ID cards.

Yes, he%u2019s the only presidential candidate that doesn''t get as much press and we know why.
Thank goodness for the "Power of the Internet"

Unusually? Please no disrespect but, this a bit "out of touch".

Interesting how the news gets slightly less explicitly bias and more vague as his campaign continues.

I have seen some of those polls. Many of them don''t even have
Ron Paul''s name on them. If Huckabee''s web site says Paul has 11% in Florida, then he must have far more than 4% nationally. Also, over the last two weeks, Huckabee is getting constant front page exposure on the Washington Post and the Washington Times.

Paul gets nothing. Who knows how he would poll if the mainstream would quit stonewalling him?

I truly believe the mainstream media is obscuring the legitimacy of these polls. With all of Ron Paul''s support, growing exponentially I believe he will win New Hampshire but not Iowa (Although I think he will do better then expected). Also after the Tea Party this Sunday Along with the grassroots RP BLIMP! he will continue to surge forward in the polls.

If you want Ron Paul to win, b you gotta get out and vote in the primaries. /b I recommend that everyone gather as many as you can via Ron Paul primary parties and go to the polls together wearing Ron Paul shirts, etc.,for those undecided voters to see, which may encourage them to swing to Paul.

Blimp or no blimp due to bad weather in Boston on the 16th, here''s why I am going to dump the contents of my wallet via a BIG credit card donation into Paul''s campaign.

Over the years, the Preamble of the Constitution has decayed to this:

"We the Politicians of the United States, in order to form a more perfect advantage, handicap justice, insure domestic futility, provide for the common pretense, promote the general incumbent, and secure the blessings of power to ourselves and our posterity, do disdain and therefore revise this Constitution for the United States of America whenever we feel like it."
WHOA, I SAY WHOA NOW, WHATCHYALL THINK YOU''RE DOING!!!!
(I''m typing at the top of my voice here.)

Time to hire Dr. NO to put a stop to this arrogance and restore it to "WE THE PEOPLE..." You all know how the original goes.....otherwise get yourself a copy of the Constitution to find out.

Ron Paul 2008

Honest Abe won in 1860,
Honest Ron wins in 2008

Only neocon dead-enders want to continue on with the war in Iraq. They don''t understand that Americans are essentially peace-loving and friendly people who don''t presume to know what is good for every other country. In a split field, Ron Paul can win! America will regain respect and admiration. The Boston Tea party fundraiser and the blimp will keep the steamroller going, even if the "mainstream'' media want to step in front of it.

4% Nationally? The latest South Carolina polls show him at 11% in that state, a 500% INCREASE from the last poll! Maybe if the national polls actually MENTIONED his name, or didn''t manipulate the sampling data and methodology, or even eliminate the biased way the questions are asked, they would represent a more accurate picture of Rep. Paul''s TRUE support! Ron Paul has won the majority of state straw polls across the nation (despite other campaigns'' buying off voters or stuffing the ballot box multiple times!); he has more actual grassroots supporters volunteering to work in his campaign than any other candidate; he consistently wins the after-debate phone and text polls (which only allow one vote per IP address or phone!); he has more views on Youtube (and more subscribers to his channel); and has attracted millions more Friends on Myspace, Facebook and many other social networking sites than any other candidate. Yet the media still clings to their outdated 20th century landline polls of basically BUSH supporters (''that''s what ''likely Republican Primary voters'' translates into from ''Pollspeak'') to justify their ignoring, denigrating and downright LYING about both Ron Paul and his supporters.

Fortunately, most Americans can see through the snarky, condescending articles and stories that the mainstream media continue to regurgitate about the good Doctor and his supporters.

One question: Why does CBS News refuse to include Ron Paul in it''s Candidates'' series on the ''Evening News''? The justification about polling numbers is disingenuous, as they DID include candidates polling lower or even with Ron Paul! Perhaps the owners of CBS, NBC, ABC and other news outlets see in Dr. Paul a threat to the profitability of their weapons and defense-related division if ROn Paul is elected...

Sunday is the day targeted by GOP presidential candidate Ron Paul''s supporters for another fundraising push.

So, I''ll be sending my money in on Sunday for the simple reason Ron Paul is an honest man among charlatans and power seekers. And he gives me hope when it is in short supply.

It is also fun to think of what a Paul administration would do if the establishment allowed him to get that far.

Hope, truth and justice are in short supply in what is now the United States. When they are offered, they should be grabbed and protected like the rare treasures they have become. Ron Paul offers those things.

Certainly it is another David and Goliath struggle, and the Davids have rarely won since the original face-off. But, that is why we have hope.

My understanding is you cannot get within a certain distance from a polling precinct with campaign materials for a candiate, it is against some voting law, make sure you check up on that, so you don''t lose your opportunity to vote, they may not let you in to vote. Will someone please confirm that for me, I read it somewhere.
Ron Paul has my vote and support.
The blimp is awesome, and the attention it is getting is worth the donations for sure.

"yeah, you see, there is a problem with Rob Paul, and that is that ALL OF HIS SUPPORTERS ARE DEMOCRATS." - Moderate 1992, that is an ignorant and inaccurate comment.
I am not a Democrat, and I support Ron Paul. There are many real republicans who are fed up with the Republican Party''s never-ending supply of RINO candidates that consider Ron Paul the best candidate to come along in years. I am one of them.
Ron Paul has more honor and integrity than all the other candidates and all of the Congress and Senate combined.

Only Democrats? Hey, woah there. I voted for Ron Reagan and both Bushes. Is that Republican enough for ya? Ron Paul is the only real conservative running. Do your research and listen to what Dr. Paul actually has to say or how he has voted in congress. Google Ron Paul or look him up in Wikipedia, whatever, but don''t listen to the spin doctors. Just get the real facts and he will make a believer out of you too with his message of personal liberty and smaller government.

If you think about it, Paul is the only true Republican running. The fact that he is getting Democrat support speaks to the appeal of his message.
Individual freedom and restoring the founding ideals of this country is something that brings people together. The only ones who have anything to fear from Paul are the status quo in Washington.

Don''t know if RP gets the nod-hope he does. But this is a peek into the future of the American political landscape, large reform will take a long time a few administrations, congresses etc.

At least RP represents a start point.

Americans are getting a primer on what needs to happen to correct imbalances that has plagued the U.S. for decades.

Joseph Campbell said that artists, poets, and storytellers are the prophets and seers of their own centuries.

The artistic voice has made a prediction, hauntingly accurate so far, about this election.

Consider the film Napoleon Dynamite. It tells the story of an election won by candidate who had the best campaign gimmick. Air filled objects, a football and a tether ball, appear repeatedly in the film. I leave it to readers to identify the real life candidate who has a gas filled object as a campaign gimmick. I suggest the film predicts he wins!
For an imaginative analysis of this election based on historical precedent go to http://dyn.politico.com/members/forums/thread.cfm?catid=2&subcatid=30&threadid=227812

Read all the comments on the blog thread and you may just conclude that Napoleon Dynamite has a very good chance of coming true.

Albert Einstein said his ability to fantasize was more important to his success than his ability to absorb practical knowledge.

A little exercise of our fantasy skills may help our country flourish in peace and prosperity with the rest of the world.

To paraphrase Fox news, We the People fantasize, and We the People will decide.

To the artists who created Napolean Dynamite, you deserve an Oscar for best picture of all time if it foreshadows a Ron Paul victory!

Ron paul offers the citizens of this country a rare oppurtunity to support and vote for a true man of integrity and courage. Some ways to help our country is to inform others through letters to the editor of our local newspapers, word of mouth, e-mail to friends and family. Once people hear his message they will be sold because his life reflects the patriotism of our countries founders.

Apparently a disproportionate amount of Ron Paul supporters vote in straw polls too, as Dr. Paul is #1 in straw poll victories. Or maybe your polls are not very good. Do you use Diebold machines or what?

Ron Paul is the only candidate that will stop the new world order, that is: Stopping the government from taking control of our lives gradiently. Such example are the proposed mental screening of all american, forced vaccination, more imposed taxes, war without asking our opinion etc... Ron paul cares about the peoples welfare and freedom. Other candidates care more about what to say in order to be elected, they lie to do so. In the end they govern more and more within their small group further and further away from the people. So they decide they should a be a war, so be it, they decide we should''t use phonics in school anymore so that children become more illiterate and are easier to control as adult and the list goes on. the only difference that exist between the other candidates besides ron paul is how long it will take to control the american population thourougly and how long it will take to get rid of the constitution completly. Basically the life as we know it today will seem like a holliday as we project the downward trend into the future. There are no other choices but to vote for Ron Paul.

Alexis de Tocqueville wrote:"In times when the passions are beginning to take charge of the conduct of human affairs, one should pay less attention to what men of experience and common sense are thinking than to what is preoccupying the imagination of dreamers."

With this understanding, I suggest to my readers to rent and enjoy the following DVDs and enjoy them beside your chestnuts roasting on an open fire this holiday season:

School of Rock (about a leader with followers much younger than he is)

Seabiscuit (about the power of love defeating the love of power)

Charlotte''s Web (an allegory about the impact of the big web that communicates the truth as the Internet now does with its statistics of public interest)

Ten Canoes (aborigine''s primitive tale about the importance of adhering to the Law of the Land)

Whale Ryder (about a new leader initially shunned by the establishment, and the transformation the new leader brings to rebirth the leader''s community to its ancestral beliefs)

and the clincher, Napolean Dynamite (story of an election won by the candidate with the best gimmick).

I''ll leave it to you to decide who the artists think will win next year.

The artists'' endorsement in these works will carry more weight than any by men of experience and common sense.

Ron Paul graduated from Gettysburg College, in Gettysburg, PA.

I wonder how often he visited the Gettysburg Battlefield, contemplated Lincoln''s Gettysburg Address, and asked himself if he could be as heroic as the soldiers who died there to save a great experiment in government by, of, and for We the People.

The historical similarity between Paul''s and Lincoln''s statemanship can not be denied.

"that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause for which they gave the last full measure of devotion %u2014 that we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain %u2014 that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom %u2014 and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth." - A.Lincoln

Like Aragon in the Lord of the Rings, Paul may have beckoned forth the ghosts of Gettysburg to aid his campaign. Chills down my spine!

Ron Paul needs to break through into mainstream America. Too many republicans do not know him because the mainstream media are reluctant to give him air time or print space. His message of Liberty will spark a revolution within American voters who are tired of ho hum politicians who are afraid to do what is right and stand up for citizen rights as defined by the Constitution.

I urge you to share the message of freedom that is the Ron Paul Campaign.

Such example are the proposed mental screening of all american, forced vaccination, more imposed taxes, war without asking our opinion etc... Ron paul cares about the peoples welfare and freedom. Other candidates care more about what to say in order to be elected. In the end they govern more and more within their small group further and further away from the people. So they decide they should a be a war, so be it, they decide we should''t use phonics in school anymore so that it makes it more difficult for children to learn how to read. It makes a lot of them illiterate, then they are being drugged because they can''t learn and by the time, they reach adulhood between the drugging and the illiteracy they are easier to control, and the list goes on. the only difference that exist between the other candidates is how long it will take to control the american population thourougly and how long it will take to get rid of the constitution completly. Basically the life as we know it today will seem like a holliday as we project the downward trend into the future. There are no other choices but to vote for Ron Paul.

DR. Ron Paul is the most amazing person out of any other them out there. I do not even care what the big money people and bias media says, he is working for us, the people of the USA. You will win Ron Paul. You are so special and down to earth, you were sent to us as a message for this country before it is to late for us. God bless us and Ron Paul!!

Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who isn''t afraid to express his radical/extreme opinions. He knows what he wants and stands by his convictions. Even though I do not agree with ALL of his stances on the issues, I do agree with most them and completely support him in the race. He wants to bring us something we haven''t had since the birth of this nation, FREEDOM. Real, true freedom. I sincerely believe Paul is the BEST candidate for 2008, and could possibly make the best president this country has seen since JFK.

I have never seen so many people have so much trust in a presidential candidate.
It is very obvious to me that Ron Paul has earned that trust by being very forthright and honest in every aspect of his life.If the American public does not rally around this man,we will regret it in the years to come!

In the most recent online poll, Paul earned the support of more than 40 percent of Republican primary voters. But despite that relatively large figure, Paul''s detractors are unusually passionate and media savvy, and the candidate, who favors smaller government and opposes the Iraq war, has a disproportionately low major media presence.

Dr. Ron Paul is truly the ONLY candidate who is pro-peace and pro-liberty.
He also seems to be the only candidate who will obey the presidential oath of office to protect and defend the constitution.
