Thompson Off Ballot in Delaware

(CBS)
From CBS News' John Bentley:

CBS News has confirmed that Fred Thompson will not be on the Republican ballot in Delaware for that state’s primary on February 5th. Thompson campaign officials say they gathered enough signatures to get on the ballot for the primary, but not enough of them were Republican voters.

Delaware requires 500 signatures of registered voters from the candidate’s party to be added to the ballot. Officials with the campaign declined to elaborate on why the requisite number of signatures wasn’t obtained.

Ultimately, this isn't a huge cause for concern for the Thompson campaign as Delaware has 18 GOP delegates up for grabs, one of the smallest hauls of the two dozen states holding contests on Feb. 5.

A trend is now happening with Fred Thompson''s campaign. Soon we will hear other states not having enough signatures to get him on the ballet either.

His campaign is dwindling down now. Those who supported Fred, need to switch over to Mike Huckabee quickly before the Iowa vote on Jan 3rd, or they will end up not getting the type of conservative candidate they were looking for.

Don''t wait too long, you got to make the switch over asap. Otherwise you will lose out getting this type of candidate in the White House.

With all due respect, Mitt Romney is not the candidate conservatives can rally behind. Just yesterday we saw the Howard Dean coming out of Mitt Romney with his speech in Iowa after the live debates.
