ISP: Prostitutes for Ron Paul?

A questionable endorsement for a GOP underdog; and tainted love among toys.

UPDATE: Click here to see our interview with Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hof. We asked him some of your questions.

It's "Prostitutes for Paul" in 2008. Or, at least a bunch of them at Dennis Hof's Bunny Ranch in Nevada.

Ron Paul is not the first contender to garner a dubious endorsement. The so-called "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss and porn idol Jenna Jameson have already thrown their weight behind Senator Hillary Clinton. It means nothing, really. Any political analyst will tell you that endorsements carry very little heft either for or against a candidate.

Even the almighty Oprah probably won't be the deciding factor for those leaning towards Sen. Barack Obama.

The Bunny Ranch story does lend itself to eye-catching B-Roll, though.

Also in the news today, a liberal group called "Campaign for America's Future" posted the video Toxic Toys on YouTube. It's a pretty mature take on Barbie and Ken's relationship. In fact, after a tryst, Barbie comes down with a case of lead poisoning. The humor might be a bit sophomoric, but the point is clear—we have a problem with tainted toys, and Christmas is right around the corner.

As for the video, it makes some claims that the Consumer Product Safety Commission says are unfounded. Either way, it is pretty darn funny. It's almost "SFW," maybe PG-13. (Or am I too jaded? I feel like I've seen worse on CSI.)

There's much more on the story and your responses in my latest blog entry here.

I have nothing against prostitution, but this story was a set-up by MSNBC''s Tucker Carlson to embarrass Ron Paul in the eyes of Christian conservatives. Ron Paul is the last member of Congress to be linked to either prostitutes or (at the risk of redundancy) corporate lobbyists. Which must account for the relative "obscurity" of his congressional career.

Who cares!!!!!! At least Ron Paul is NOT bought by the lobbyists. That tells me something. Nobody cares that a brothel is giving money. That is their right to give money to which ever candidate they want. Let''s talk about where HITLERY CLINTON gets her donations from. Both Clintons got some real
close ties to China. All probalby
illegal too. Need I say more. They
wonder why the american people don''t trust the Clintons. SCUM....

This endorsement was not soliciated by Ron Paul. He can''t help if people support him who he doesn''t like.

CBS should have mentioned that the endorsement was engineered by MSNBC''s Tucker Carlson, who appears to be well acquainted with the Bunny Ranch and its owner. Carlson surprised the Paul campaign by showing up in a limo with two hookers, neither of whom had heard of Ron Paul before.
Ron Paul is probably the least likely member of congress to be linked with prostitutes or (at the risk of redundancy) corporate lobbyists. Which surely accounts for his relative "obscurity" until now.

What''s wrong with prostitutes ? Their endorsement of Ron Paul only solidifies the fact that Ron Paul is for everyone, not just one group...his policy will be to let everyone live in freedom and liberty, not persecution because of profession, lifestyle, or religion. It speaks volumes that you could have homosexuals, swingers, pot smokers, prostitutes, ministers, white men, black women, and many different peoples endorse Ron Paul. He is the candidate for AMERICA, and that includes every citizen.

The reporting of a staged event has it''s irony. The news organizations of this country are all prostitutes in their own way, they bend over and take it straight up from the corporate interests which are not interested in anything but money and power over the people (sheeple). I find it amusing that when someone teases another they are usually pointing out their own shortcomings. So keep on bending over and then go home and look at your kids, be so proud that you are selling out your country for fear of a job or a short time powertrip. Tell your kids you''re doing it for them and when you go to sleep think how the actions you take will project into the future and justify your deeds as the best thing you can do for the good of humanity.

"When one is saying coulda woulda shoulda the only thing that happened is didn''t!"

In an attempt to make Ron Paul''s message less meaningful to the average American the media (MSNBC Tucker Carlson) arranged for Brothel Owner to "Endorse" him. Please see the following John Birch Society article...

This has been reported elsewhere and refuted as trash. CBS can''t even keep up to date on baseless sensationalism. Your agenda is transparent.

Bill Clinton''s ******** acts in the white house were a true scandal, it cost him money and almost impeachment! trying to smear Ron Paul with "prostitutes" is as futile as saying that CBS is honest.
