ISP: Prostitutes for Ron Paul?
A questionable endorsement for a GOP underdog; and tainted love among toys.
UPDATE: Click here to see our interview with Bunny Ranch owner Dennis Hof. We asked him some of your questions.
It's "Prostitutes for Paul" in 2008. Or, at least a bunch of them at Dennis Hof's Bunny Ranch in Nevada.
Ron Paul is not the first contender to garner a dubious endorsement. The so-called "Hollywood Madam" Heidi Fleiss and porn idol Jenna Jameson have already thrown their weight behind Senator Hillary Clinton. It means nothing, really. Any political analyst will tell you that endorsements carry very little heft either for or against a candidate.
Even the almighty Oprah probably won't be the deciding factor for those leaning towards Sen. Barack Obama.
The Bunny Ranch story does lend itself to eye-catching B-Roll, though.
Also in the news today, a liberal group called "Campaign for America's Future" posted the video Toxic Toys on YouTube. It's a pretty mature take on Barbie and Ken's relationship. In fact, after a tryst, Barbie comes down with a case of lead poisoning. The humor might be a bit sophomoric, but the point is clear—we have a problem with tainted toys, and Christmas is right around the corner.
As for the video, it makes some claims that the Consumer Product Safety Commission says are unfounded. Either way, it is pretty darn funny. It's almost "SFW," maybe PG-13. (Or am I too jaded? I feel like I've seen worse on CSI.)
There's much more on the story and your responses in my latest blog entry here.

Oh, wait a second! This is CBSNews. Aren''t you supposed to be reporting on important things, like ideas and policies? But, I repeat myself.
The entire media in this country stinks. It''s garbage. It doesn''t report the news, it misleads and lies.
Especially given the fact that Mr. Goldwater''s father was known as "Mr. Republican" and was the inspiration for the Reagan Revolution. His endorsement proves that mainstream, conservative Republicans support and work hard for the Paul campaign - such as myself, a 2006 Republican senate candidate from Michigan.
But I don''t own a "brothel" so I guess I won''t be mentioned on CBS anytime soon or Mr. Goldwater.
I guess this proves ol'' Mr. Goldberg was right about his former boss in his book "Bias".
I challenge you do some "quality piece" that our nation is facing. Because, this ain''t gonna cit it!
Do you know what is the "Most Dangerous Weapon" in this temporary planet? "IGNORANCE"
Do keen an open mind and listen to the good doctor and take the prescription.
Cheers...
See you next Wednesday!

But the facts never seem to get in the way of a good yellow journalism story, do they?
one can take that away from us. One needs to look no farther than Dr. Paul''s debate results, straw poll results, and MASSIVE online support and campaign contributions (from the "average Joe") to conclude that his support is vastly
being marginalized by the MSM. After all, 80% of US adults are now "net savvy". Yes, we know that the MSM is very troubled by the very presence of Ron Paul. For if it weren''t, then it wouldn''t be
going to such great lengths to discredit him and his supporters via hatchet jobs like the one above (which was a "set up" by none other than Tucker Carlson)
more.......every day, every hour, and every second. Our findings cannot be taken back or changed. THIS is the sole reason that WE support a candidate like Ron Paul. As he so eloquently states, "it''s not me, it''s the message". The so-called 2 party system has
betrayed US time and time again (see Congress), and we have now learned to turn our backs on such a fraudulent system. We now know that the Mainstream Media is NOT to be trusted.....EVER. This is why subscriptions are down in nearly
EVERY printed news publication around the country. We also know that our ENTIRE system needs to be changed from the FED up (pun intended). This is "THE TALK" at the kids soccer games, cocktail parties, etc.... I know. as I am just an "average Joe".
You see, the tricks that may have worked in the past no longer work in this "new age of information". As the establishment scrambles to stifle us and take away more of our freedoms via an emperor with no clothes, they fail to realize that
the cat has already been let out of the bag. Therefore, by playing the same hand over and over, our government and mass media loses credibility with each passing second, as it becomes more and more transparent as to who''s "team" they are really on (apparently not team USA). RON PAUL 2008!!
Hope for America!

Dr. Paul stands for Liberty for all...
John Birch Society Article on Media arranging Prostitutes endorsement.
"When one is saying coulda woulda shoulda the only thing that happened is didn''t!"
riteyrite
Ron Paul is probably the least likely member of congress to be linked with prostitutes or (at the risk of redundancy) corporate lobbyists. Which surely accounts for his relative "obscurity" until now.
close ties to China. All probalby

- I have nothing against prostitution, but this story was a set-up by MSNBC''s Tucker Carlson to embarrass Ron Paul in the eyes of Christian conservatives. Ron Paul is the last member of Congress to be linked to either prostitutes or (at the risk of redundancy) corporate lobbyists. Which must account for the relative "obscurity" of his congressional career.
