He hated the rich because he was a liberal. The school didn't want to handle him because he was a minority. Too bad he didn't attend Duke University as a white student.

It, I hope, is a given that in referring to the under-representation of Koreans or those of Korean descent here that I do not in the very least mean any blame on them at all. That would be sick.

In contrast to having my comments read, better yet for those directly tied to this tragedy in their own words to echo my sentiments here and have theirs read instead this morning or tomorrow.

P.S. I refer to the flashing powerpoint slideshow of Cho Seung-Hui on the front page, if I had been unclear before.

Presenting your front page the way you do directly contradicts suggestions by Craig Scott on the Oprah Winfrey show this afternoon, that had me affected by the Columbine tragedy more than I ever have before. He gave testimony of having prevented a similar school tragedy in Texas this way and had palpable proof of doing so.
Criag, yes, may be an idealist, but the opening page of your site this evening is near the other polar extreme. Imagine a copycat crime you may have inspired.

Yes, the full truth should be out, including some of the video shoots and photo stills, but we, I hope, are not in a game of how best for CBS News to compete with two other major networks, in how to sensationalize this tragedy. That is sick.
Moreover, the Korean-American community in our society has been vastly underrepresented the past couple of days, and now the need to remedy that is more pressing, I'd say, than it has been before, thanks to how you present the news this evening.

Again I'd like to hear some of my comments repeated by Couric especially on the Early Show, and if you have any way of picking out my identity from any info I present here, I would prefer that you do not do so but instead present my comments anonymously.

I think it is highly exploitative, mercenary, and revolting that CBS News has their website open the way it does tonight. I am on the quest for the truth about what happened at Virginia Tech, not on the quest to be entertained, stimulated, ot titillated. You beautifully fulfill Cho Seung-Hui's last will and testament - he certainly had very few worldly goods to offer anyone at the end - in presenting your news webpage this way.
He, in his very sick mind, would not have wanted it any other or better way.

It is also fully out of character of your new news anchor at the CBS Evening News. Not to put her on the spot, but I would like to hear her read
on an edition by end of week of The Early Show
my thoughts on this.

(to be continued)

Is it not the height of irony that not knowing enough words (SATS) is enough to get you excluded from a school but not saying a word for an entire year (and acting in a threatening biazarre manner) is not enough to get you kicked out! In colleges across the country, administrators and college officials routinely ignore the observations and concerns of the faculty when faculty question student conduct-cheating, bizarre behavior, unexplained repetitive absences. Schools boast about their stringent admissions criteria but once accepted, school administrators discourage faculty from acting upon their concerns about students and rarely take any action when faculty submit formal complaints. It is a glaring example of the hypocrisy that seems to permeate adademic settings.
