Celebration Time

(AP (file))
"As for the media, most of our brethren were celebrating the conviction yesterday because it damaged the Bush Administration they loathe."

Comrades,

That was quite a rager last night, huh? I haven't been this hungover since after we doctored up that "macaca" video. As soon as the Libby verdict was announced, CBS News Prez Sean McManus sent a whole bunch of cake, all this top shelf liquor, and a selection of those delicious French pastries down to the newsroom. Five gin fizzes later, George Soros and a whole bunch of gay atheists show up, and Katie's got us cracking up with her "you might be an evangelical" jokes. I heard the parties were killer all over town – over at CNN, Blitzer and Dobbsie threw on Cheney and Nixon masks and totally made out. It was awesome!

Too bad about all those buzzkills, though. Here we are trying to celebrate the conviction and people like Howard Kurtz – who went to the University of Buffalo, by the way – are writing about how the proceedings gave journalism "a black eye." And in San Francisco they're whining about subpoenas. Waaah! Jeez, we don't care, jerks – an aide to Cheney got in trouble or something! At least the good folks at the Wall Street Journal has the good sense to point out that's all we care about. Not like that lame Bob Steele at The Poynter Institute, who said "[t]here is significant concern about what this could mean to journalists." Whatever, dork! Party! Woo-hoo!

Later,
Brian

A blog without humor is like a conservative that didn't take part in competitive intramural sports in school.

Ah, lighten up, people. A blog without humor is like a liberal without academic tenure.

I know you're trying to put more oomph into this blog, but after reading the rather lame sarcasm against the WSJ, I fear Public Eye is turning, subtly at least, into a lefty pulpit. That would be sad.

You can't distance yourself from the truth by making a joke about it Brian.

But the ease with which you wrote your supposed parody is pretty revealing of the way your mind works.

Shame on WSJ, Forbes, Barron's, IBD, FOX and so on for letting the MSM force Libby, Cheney, Bush 41 and Bush 43 to lie to the world. Wait until FOX reveals how Public Eye manipulated the jurors at the Libby trial; when WSJ explains that GE (owner of NBC) is a puppet of Iran; that WAPO caused the budget for veterans' care to be reduced by Bush.
And today, Jon Friedman of the DJ-owned MarketWatch site, argued for the total disregard of Ann Coulter by the media. Even the Journal is part of the liberal conspiracy.

Scooter will appeal, and maybe attain a presidential pardon. The conviction was for basically lying to investigators and the grand jury during the course of a serious treason case of national security. This case is small change compared to the fact that the Republic Party does nothing but lie to the American People, deflect any and all criticisms, and attack those that choose to speak out against their agenda.

Valeria Plame's job, operation, and life along with the lives of all the other CIA agents working undercover on nuclear threats against America were jeopardized by the Bush Whitehouse in order to protect their interest to make profit by diverting Federal Treasury Funds to the private sector in the name of liberating the Iraqi People from Saddam Hussein and eliminating the threat to the US from his government.

It is visibly apparent that the George Bush, Richard Cheney, Colin Powell, Condoleeza Rice and the supporting Republics (GOP) in Congress working in lock step with this Administration have done nothing, and will only continue to lie to the American People.

As Homer Simpson would say, funny because it's true.
