In September, Mayer and her husband Zachary Bogue said they were surprised about having twins because there is no family history.
The twins have an older brother, who was born in 2012.
Mayer's announcement comes as the Sunnyvale-based internet company scrapped plans to sell off its stake in Chinese web giant Alibaba. Instead, Yahoo looks to spin off their remaining assets, including their core internet business, into a separate company.
