Worker Falls To His Death At San Jose Construction Site

SAN JOSE (CBS SF)— A worker unloading sheet rock at a San Jose construction site fell to his death Wednesday afternoon according to police.

California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) spokesman Greg Siggins said the man fell about three stories and was pronounced dead at the scene. He apparently suffered massive head injuries.

The incident was reported just after noon near the intersection of Sierra Road and North Capitol Avenue.

Cal/OSHA and San Jose Police Department have responded to investigate the death.

It's the second local construction worker death in as many days since on Tuesday another worker fell to his death at a San Mateo site.
