Woodson Agrees To 1-Year Deal To Stay With Oakland Raiders

OAKLAND (CBS/AP) - Safety Charles Woodson has agreed to a one-year deal to remain with the Oakland Raiders.

A person with knowledge of the deal says Woodson is expected to officially sign the contract on Thursday. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the team has not announced the signing yet. ESPN first reported the deal.

Woodson returned to his original NFL team last season after spending the previous seven years with Green Bay. The 37-year-old Woodson started all 16 games with one interception, two sacks, three passes defensed, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

He expressed interest after the season in returning and the Raiders also wanted him back, leading to another one-year deal.
