Woman Taken Off Life Support Following Muni Bus Fight
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A woman who was critically injured during an argument on a San Francisco Muni bus earlier this month died Friday after she was taken off life support.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports the 55-year-old was on life support with a traumatic brain injury following a fight in the Mission District.
Police said the Oct. 15 fight turned physical following an altercation between the victim and two suspects on a Muni's 9-San Bruno bus.
The three got off the bus on the 300 block of Potreo Avenue when one of the suspects reportedly hit the woman, sending her to the ground.
The two suspects fled the scene on foot and the victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital.
Police are changing the investigation from a battery to a homicide. No arrests have been made.
