Woman Sought In San Jose Bank Robberies Arrested

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- A young woman being sought in two San Jose bank robberies has been arrested, according to KPIX 5.

The unidentified woman was brought into San Jose police headquarters just before 2:00 p.m. Friday.

The arrest comes two days after San Jose police had released images of the woman being sought in the case. She was seen clad in yoga pants, a hoodie, and large sunglasses.

The first robbery was at a Chase Bank on Almaden Expressway, followed by another at a U.S. Bank inside Nob Hill Market on Snell Avenue.

Police said in both robberies, the woman's normal appearance allowed her to escape suspicion up until the moment she walked up to the teller with a note demanding cash and stating she was armed with a gun.

Both times, the teller gave her an undisclosed amount of cash. No gun was seen and no one was hurt in either instance.
