Death toll in San Leandro house fire rises to three

The Alameda County Sheriff's Office on Saturday identified one of the three people who died in a San Leandro house fire.

She was identified as 66-year-old Pamela Morrow.

The house fire happened early Thursday morning on the 2000 block of Altamont Road.

At the time of the fire, there were nine people inside the home, according to the Alameda County Fire Department. First responders took six of them to the hospital, where two of them later died.

Officials said the third victim was found in the burned structure.

It's not clear what started the fire, but the fire department said residents reported hearing explosions. It was not clear whether the fire caused the explosions or the explosions caused the fire.
