Woman Dies From Injuries In Hospital After Oakland Hit & Run
OAKLAND (CBS SF)_ A woman was killed in a hit-and-run accident in East Oakland Friday morning, according to police.
Officers responded at 8:08 a.m. to a report of a woman on the ground at the intersection of 18th Avenue and East 15th Street with a possible medical emergency.
The woman appeared to have been struck and severely injured by a vehicle that had fled the scene, police said.
The woman, who has not been identified, was transported to a local hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead, according to police.
Officers canvassed the area where the woman was struck for any potential witnesses, police said.
