Woman Arrested For Allegedly Stabbing 10-Year-Old Boy On SF Bus

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A woman who allegedly stabbed a 10-year-old boy in the shoulder on a San Francisco Municipal Railway bus traveling through the city's Bayview District on Thursday afternoon has been arrested, police said.

At about 3:05 p.m., the boy was riding the bus near the intersection of Palou Avenue and Jennings Street when he got into an argument with a 27-year-old woman.

The woman apparently stabbed the boy with a folding knife, police said.

Passengers on the Muni bus restrained the woman and took the knife away, according to police.

Officers said the woman was taken into police custody and arrested.

Police said the 10-year-old boy suffered stab wounds to his shoulder and hand, as well as a scrape to his cheek.

The boy was transported to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening, according to police.
