Witnesses Report Seeing Woman Kidnapped, Stuffed Into Trunk In Oakland

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The Oakland Police Department was investigating a kidnapping that was reported Monday night.

Officers responded just after 10 p.m. to the 8100 block of Sterling Drive on a report of a kidnapping.

A witness told officers a suspect grabbed a woman and put her into the trunk of a black vehicle before driving off, police said.

The suspect vehicle is possibly a year 2000 model. No other information on the vehicle was immediately available.

The suspect is described as an African American man in his mid-20s, 6 feet tall, 180 to 200 pounds and wearing a red shirt and dark pants.

The victim is described as an African American woman wearing a halter-top.
