Will It Rain On Halloween? Trick-Or-Treaters Advised To Bring Umbrella As Forecast Says Wet Weather

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Bay Area trick-or-treaters wondering whether it will rain on Halloween are being advised to add an umbrella to their costumes this Friday as the forecast is for wet weather throughout the region.

Rain and scattered showers are likely during the day Friday and on Halloween night throughout most of the Bay Area.

KPIX 5 meteorologist Lawrence Karnow said clouds would be on the increase Thursday along with cooler temps and a cold front would begin moving through the Bay Area Friday morning.

Showers would continue into the afternoon and evening as trick-or-treaters begin heading out, Karnow said.

The North Bay and Santa Cruz mountains will likely see the most rainfall, with a lower chance of showers inland and in the South Bay for Halloween.

More showers are expected Saturday morning, but it should begin to dry by the afternoon, and would remain cool and dry on Sunday, said Karnow.

Warmer weather is expected toward the middle of next week.
