Widespread Power Outage Affects 20,000 In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS/BCN) -- Roughly 20,000 PG&E customers who lost power Thursday evening in San Francisco's SoMa district have had their electrical service restored, according to a utility spokesman.
The outage started at 5:49 p.m., and all customers had their power back on by 6:54 p.m., according to J.D. Guidi.
S.F. firefighters rescued a person who was stuck in an elevator at Adobe Systems' offices in the city.
The cause of the outage remains under investigation.
The outage was concentrated in the South of Market area including parts of the Mission District, the Castro, Potrero Hill and Mission Bay.
