Why Roberta Should Really Be Doing The Weather In Hawaii

KPIX 5 Morning Weather Anchor Roberta Gonzales answers the questions you never get to ask on-air.

Q: Hey Roberta; What is your favorite type of weather? - Staci Tate, Pleasanton

A: Whoa, that's a good one. Because of the drought, I really need to say rain!

My favorite type of weather is actually subtropical. I love a touch of higher humidity and a temperature in the high 70s, near 80 degrees. This allows for a terrific "run" and a great sweat! If I can follow up the steamy afternoon with an evening of rumbling thunderstorms, well I would certainly consider that a treat!

Secondly, (or maybe I have these out of order!), I appreciate a good strong cold front, slicing through the Bay Area from the North, dropping temperatures and bringing beneficial rains to the Bay Area and the abundance of snow to Tahoe. After a cold front, look for the most pristine, clean, bluest skies ever! Post card perfect pictures are snapped after the passage of a cold front!

What is your favorite weather pattern and where is the last time you have experienced it? Snow in Tahoe?, Heat in Italy? Thunder snow storms in Chicago? Mugginess in New York? Sound off! I would love to hear from you!
