Man Living In West Oakland Trailer Killed In Overnight Fire

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – An Oakland man died Monday morning when the trailer he was living in caught fire.

According to firefighters, the fire broke out near 30th and Linden Streets in West Oakland shortly before 5 a.m.

When firefighters arrived, they knocked the fire in about 15 minutes and the man's body was found inside.

The victim has been identified as a 66-year-old man, his name has not been released.

Officials said he had been living in the trailer while his nearby home was being remodeled.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
