Early-Morning Water Main Break Closes Part Of College Ave In Santa Rosa

SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) -- Santa Rosa Public Works advised drivers to avoid the area of College Avenue between North Street and Monroe Avenue in Santa Rosa due to a water main break early Sunday morning.

A fire dispatcher said a call came in at 1:59 a.m. reporting hundreds of gallons of water flowing into the street.

The dispatcher said no injuries had been reported and crews were on scene working to repair the line quickly and safely.

The rupture has closed the streets and a traffic detour would likely be in effect until around noon Sunday, according to fire officials.
