WATCH: Klay Thompson Cheats, And Fails, At Go-Kart Racing

Ross Kelly, CBS Local Sports

Klay Thompson's summer of fun continues in Asia and he has documented every step along the way. The Splash Brother is in the Far East to promote the release of his shoe through Anta Sports and has also (regretfully) sampled the local cuisine. Now Thompson is trying his hand at Go-Kart racing and just like the liquid nitrogen ice cream he tasted; this also did not go as planned.

Seeing he's about to be defeated, Thompson reverts back to a 10-year-old playing Super Mario Kart and tries to cut through the grass. He quickly realizes that what works on Nintendo doesn't always work in real life:

I don't know what's funnier: Klay getting stuck in the grass, the guy running over to try to help him, or the thoughts of what Draymond Green and the hilariously-underrated Steve Kerr would say to Klay.

Meanwhile, according to the Mercury News, later this fall Klay will take the Larry O'Brien championship trophy to his alma mater Washington State for a football game. Let's hope Klay doesn't get too close to the players and start giving them ideas of things he saw on Madden. Stick to basketball, Klay:
