Washington Woman Arrested In Rodeo Homicide

RODEO (CBS SF) -- Sheriff's deputies arrested a Washington state woman on suspicion of killing another woman early Saturday morning in the Contra Costa County community of Rodeo, Contra Costa County sheriff's officials said Sunday.

Deputies responded at about 12:30 a.m. to a domestic disturbance in a home in the 200 block of Garretson Avenue, sheriff's officials said.

The report deputies received said a shooting took place in the home, according to sheriff's officials.

Deputies found a 69-year-old woman in the home suffering from bullet wounds, sheriff's officials said.

A deputy performed CPR until medics took over, but the woman died at the home, according to sheriff's officials.

Deputies said they arrested Linda Thomas, 71, in the alleged killing.
