Warriors Merchandise Flying Off Shelves As Team Continues Win Streak

OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The Golden State Warriors are on a hot streak, and so are the stores selling the team's merchandise.

Sports Authority manager Scott Shelton says they can barely keep the shelves stocked with Warriors gear as the team continues to stretch the NBA's win record for a season start.

"Old fans, new fans. Stuff is flying off the shelves," Shelton said.

Fans from out of the country are buying up gear too.

"Tourists from overseas buying this stuff because they are seeing it on the news, they are seeing it in the papers, they want to be part of it, take it home," Shelton said.

The Warriors say online merchandise sales are up 800 percent from last year.

The Warriors extended their season start to 22 wins with a victory over the Nets Sunday night.
