Warriors Fan Says He Was Pushed From Upper Deck By Cavs Fan

OAKLAND (KPIX 5) -- A Warriors fan is still recovering from injuries suffered when he says he was pushed from the upper deck at Oracle Arena during Game 7 of the NBA Finals in Oakland.

Sal Bimbo has been in the hospital since Game 7. His father Ronnie has been by his side after numerous surgeries.

"He remembers eating breakfast that day. He remembers talking to LeBron James. He remembers how much he paid for the ticket," Ronnie told KPIX 5.

Oakland police are investigating the incident and talking with witnesses.

Sal's family say he was caught in the middle of a fight between Warriors fans and Cavs fans when he was thrown over a 50-foot railing near section 220.

"My son says God bless him. I say let the law deal with him," Ronnie said.

Sal will be at the hospital for at least another week, although he is anxious to go home to LA with his wife and two young children.

"I told him slowly but surely, he'll get back," Ronnie said.

Ronnie has put $25,000 of his own money as a reward for information leading to the suspect's arrest.
