Warriors Tie NBA Record With 72nd Win, Solve San Antonio Drought

SAN ANTONIO (CBS SF) --  The Golden State Warriors broke their decades-long losing streak in San Antonio, and matched the Chicago Bulls' win record with a win over the Spurs Sunday night.

The Warriors have been pushing to match, or beat the Bulls record-setting season of 1995-96.

The Spurs had won 48 consecutive regular season games at home, including an NBA-record 39 straight to begin this season. Golden State ended a 33-game skid in San Antonio that dated to 1997.

Stephen Curry scored 37 points in Sunday's 90-86 win over the Spurs.

Their record now stands at 72-9.

The Warriors finish their regular season at home against the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night.
