Warriors Are Only NBA Team With Two Players On U.S. Basketball Team Roster

OAKLAND (CBS SF) - Sharpshooting Golden State Warrior guards Klay Thompson and Steph Curry will be among 19 NBA stars competing to represent the United States for the 2014 Basketball World Cup, making 'the Dubs' the lone team to land two players on the roster.

The squad will practice in Las Vegas, and be whittled down to a final roster during an exhibition tour leading up to the World Cup, which begins in Spain on August 30th. Team USA will play in Group C along with teams from New Zealand, the Dominican Republic, Ukraine and Turkey.

Curry was on the team in 2010 when Team USA won the FIBA World Championship. Now entering his peak years as a professional, Curry seems poised to play an increased role for the team.

Thompson was named to the National Team roster last year, and had previously played on a team that helped the 2012 Olympic team prepare for the London Games.

Check out the full roster and tune-up schedule on the Team USA Website.
