Warm Forecast Forces Red Flag Warning For North Bay Hills This Weekend

SAN RAFAEL (CBS SF) – Strong winds and low humidity are expected for the later part of the weekend and warm weather builds back in, raising fire dangers in the North Bay.

The National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for elevations above 100 feet from 11 p.m. Saturday through 5 a.m. Monday for Napa, Marin and Sonoma Counties.

507 North Bay hilltops are affected by the warning. Forecasters say the Napa hills will see the strongest winds as well as the regions highest peaks, Mount Tamalpais and Mt. Saint Helena.

The strongest winds will come through Sunday morning. You can get the full weekend forecast, including an hour-by-hour forecast for your zip code in the KPIX 5 weather center.
