Warehouse Fire On Treasure Island Quickly Snuffed Out

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Firefighters in San Francisco were able to quickly extinguish a warehouse fire Sunday afternoon on Treasure Island.

The fire was first reported around 2:30 p.m. near 13th Street and Avenue N, according fire spokesman Jonathan Baxter.

The blaze had apparently started in the back of an inhabited warehouse in the area, Baxter said.

Firefighters immediately brought the fire under control and eventually extinguished it, according to Baxter.

The empty warehouse sustained minor damage as a result of the fire. No injuries were reported, Baxter said.

The cause remains under investigation.
