Walnut Creek Police Searching For Man Suspected Of Stealing Package From Doorstep

WALNUT CREEK (CBS SF) -- Police in Walnut Creek are asking for the public's help in finding a man suspected of stealing a package from a home's front doorstep on Tuesday evening.

The theft, which was caught on a home surveillance camera, happened around 7:10 p.m. at a home in Trotter Court, Walnut Creek police Lt.  Steve Gorski said.

Gorski said the man made off with a package containing about $107 worth of diapers and baby formula.

He was seen leaving the area in an older gray GMC truck, according to police.

Police are releasing a surveillance image of the suspect.

Anyone with information about the suspect or his whereabouts is asked to call Walnut Creek police at (925) 943-5844.
