VTA Light Rail Service Restored In Downtown San Jose

SAN JOSE (CBS SF) -- Light rail service has been restored Saturday morning near the Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose following a day of wire repair work, Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority officials said.

The light rail service was disrupted Friday due to emergency repairs of the overhead wire, according to VTA officials.

The VTA implemented substitute bus service on Friday for disrupted lines between the San Antonio and Curtner and the San Antonio and San Fernando stations.

Regular service resumed Saturday morning at 4:30 a.m., VTA officials said.
