Firefighters estimate that the blaze is currently between 10 and 30 acres in size, and they've requested assistance from Cal Fire.

There are two eastbound lanes blocked on Highway 80, but no homes are currently threatened, firefighters said. The lane closures have caused a significant back-up in that direction.

Shortly after 6 p.m., Vallejo Fire ordered three additional brush engines to aid in fighting the fire.
