Vehicle Crashes Into East Oakland Liquor Store, Possibly Resulting From Sideshow

OAKLAND (CBS SF) – A vehicle crashed into a building in Oakland Friday evening, possibly as a result of a sideshow in the area, according to a fire dispatcher.

Officers responded to a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a building at 6:22 p.m. in the 8200 block of MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland police Officer J. Moore said.

A dispatcher with the Oakland Fire Department said the building was a liquor store and the crash may have been the result of a sideshow in the area.

Moore couldn't confirm that a sideshow took place, but he said based on the available information, it appeared that a lot of people were at the scene.

It's unclear if anyone was injured in the crash, the dispatcher said. As of around 7 p.m., the dispatcher said no one had been transported to the hospital.
