Van Ness Ave. Partially Closed In San Francisco This Weekend

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Parts of Van Ness Ave. in San Francisco is shutting down for the weekend.

It's the second phase of a construction project for the new California Pacific Medical Center campus.

The closure on Van Ness is between Ellis and Pine streets and from Geary Blvd. and Post St. where an underground walkway is being built.

It starts midnight Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26.

Van Ness Ave. will remain open to Muni 47 and 49 lines and Golden Gate transit buses.

There are detours for drivers, but expect delays.

The final round of closures will back Sept. 5-7.
