Vallejo police investigate deadly shooting on Sheldon Avenue
An investigation is underway in Vallejo after a woman was shot and killed late Friday night, police said.
Officers responded to the 400 block of Sheldon Avenue, near Webb Street, just before midnight where they found a woman suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
Officers said they rendered aid but the woman died at the scene. She has not been identified.
The Vallejo Police Department Detective Division is looking into the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Police said this marks the second homicide in the city this year.
