Vallejo Grass Fire Contained By Crews

VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- Firefighters were able to contain a small grass fire Monday afternoon in Vallejo.

The blaze was first reported around 1:40 p.m. in the 1400 block of Oakwood Avenue, according to Vallejo fire spokesman Kevin Brown.

The fire burned a small area around a chain link fence.

No injuries were reported and there was minimal property damage as a result of the fire, Brown said.

The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Brown.
