Uber Accused Of Spying On Beyoncé And Other Celebrities

By Radio.com Staff

(RADIO.COM) – Uber is in hot water after testimony by Samuel Ward Spangenberg, the company's former forensic investigator.

According to a new report in The Guardian Spangenberg alleges employees abused the company's "God View" feature to monitor the movement of "high-profile politicians, celebrities and even personal acquaintances of Uber employees, including ex-boyfriends/girlfriends, and ex-spouses." He says the tool is/was used to track the movements of clients based on their account information.

Spangenberg is suing Uber for age discrimination and whistleblower retaliation and specifically mentions Beyoncé as an example of a celebrity who was tracked in his complaint.
