Trump Tower Temporarily Renamed 'Dump Tower' On Google Maps

NEW YORK (AP) -- Someone temporarily renamed Donald Trump's midtown Manhattan building on Google Maps, and the new moniker wasn't exactly flattering.

Instead of Trump Tower, it was briefly renamed "Dump Tower."

WPIX-TV in New York reports that users of the mapping service began noticing the new name for the Fifth Avenue building on Saturday and some took to social media to report it.

A Google spokeswoman told The Associated Press user contributions help provide up-to-date maps, but can occasionally lead to inaccuracies. The company has since changed the name back to its original.

No comment as of yet from the president-elect. Trump has been using Trump Tower as his transition headquarters.
