Truck Stolen From Concord Nonprofit Found

CONCORD (CBS SF) – A truck stolen from a nonprofit in Concord last month was found early Monday morning, police said.

The truck was stolen on Feb. 15 from in front of the headquarters of the Monument Crisis Center, a nonprofit at 1990 Market St. that provides food and other services to low-income families in Contra Costa County, according to police.

The truck, a white 2006 Ford F-350 that had been donated by PG&E, was found early Monday morning unoccupied and with moderate damage, police said. Investigators are still seeking the person or people responsible for the theft.

The Monument Crisis Center is accepting donations to pay for repairs to the vehicle, which is used to pick up donations and purchase food across the region, according to the nonprofit.

Anyone interested in making a donation can contact the center at (925) 825-7751 or visit www.monumentcrisiscenter.org.
