Trio Sought In Shooting That Injured Elderly Woman In San Francisco's Bayview

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police are searching for three men involved in a shooting that hurt an elderly woman in San Francisco's Bayview District Tuesday afternoon, a San Francisco police spokeswoman said.

A ShotSpotter activation around 4:10 p.m. led police to a shooting in the 4600 block of Third Street, according to San Francisco police spokeswoman Sgt. Danielle Newman.

Newman said a 74-year-old woman was injured after the bullet went through a window and a fragment hit her.

Police had initially reported the woman was 80 years old, however Newman clarified her age Wednesday.

She was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

Three suspects, men ages 33, 27 and 21, were able to get away in a red sedan. No arrests have been made as of Wednesday afternoon, according to Newman.
