'Train' Debut New Single 'Play That Song'

By Radio.com Staff

(RADIO.COM) – Bay Area-based band Train have released a new single titled "Play That Song."

It's the band's first new original music since 2014's Bulletproof Picasso. That's not to say the band has been resting on their laurels, they released a holiday album Christmas in Tahoe in 2015 and their full album cover project Train Does Led Zeppelin II earlier this year.

Upon first listen, the song sounds vaguely familiar. Upon closer inspection, the melody appears to be inspired by the often covered 1938 classic, "Heart and Soul," by Howard Hoagland "Hoagy" Carmichael. Coincidence?

The band released a lyric video to accompany the new track.
