Man Injured After Being Struck By Muni T-Line In San Francisco's Bayview, Causing Delays

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF)_ A man was injured Monday morning in San Francisco after he was struck by a Muni light-rail train, a San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency spokesman said.

Shortly after 5 a.m. the man suffered head and facial injuries when he was struck by the side of the T-Third train near the intersection of Third Street and Carroll Avenue, SFMTA spokesman Paul Rose said.

The man was transported to the hospital, but his condition wasn't immediately available.

A pile of clothes and a toppled walker could be seen on the tracks according to KCBS reporter Holly Quan, who is at the scene.

The crash caused delays due to northbound Third Street being blocked. SFMTA had established a bus bridge from Sunnydale Avenue to Williams Avenue before the collision scene was cleared and regular service resumed by 7:30 a.m.
