Toxic Algae Shuts Down Lake Anza In Berkeley To Swimmers

BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- East Bay park officials have posted a 'No Swimming' notice for Lake Anza in Berkeley because of toxic algae.

The lake is located in Tilden Regional Park in the hills above the East Bay city.

East Bay Regional Park District posted the notice on their website advising people not to come in contact with the water and keep their pets away.

Officials say Lake Anza is closed until further notice, but Tilden Park will remain open for picnicking, hiking and other activities.
