Tornado Touches Down In Central Valley Town, Some Houses Damaged

DENAIR (CBS Sacramento) -- A tornado reportedly touched down in the small Stanislaus County community of Denair on Sunday afternoon.

Authorities say the tornado went down Zeering Road in Denair and then headed east out of town.

The tornado damaged some houses and trees, according to the Stanislaus County Sheriff's Department.

Denair is just east of Turlock and has a population of about 4,000.
