The Weeknd Loses Locks And Announces New 'STARBOY' Album On Instagram

(RADIO.COM) – When The Weeknd deleted all of his Instagram photos, and changed his bio to "STARBOY," we had a feeling that the phrase would be the title for his next album. The singer-songwriter had been teasing a new album for weeks, but it wasn't until he released the cover art, that we could officially connect the dots.
"There are new inspirations on this album," he told VMan. "The production feels aggressive but still sexy. The Smiths, Bad Brains, Talking Heads, Prince, and DeBarge play roles. We wrote it all in Los Angeles."
"I think it'll be the best-sounding album I've ever done," he added. "It's hard to label the sound because, when I first came out, nobody would label it R&B. I just want to keep pushing the envelope without it feeling forced."
