The Obamas Get Down To Michael Jackson's 'Thrilller' For Halloween

By Hayden Wright

(RADIO.COM) – Like every holiday, Halloween calls for pomp and circumstance at the White House. The president and First Lady hosted local Washington, D.C. kids for a celebration yesterday, and somebody controlling the playlist chose a time-tested crowd pleaser: Michael Jackson's "Thriller."

While POTUS and FLOTUS didn't grace the nation with a full version of the video choreography, they busted a few moves onstage that vaguely resembled Jackson's dance from the clip. A few arm gestures and you've got it down, really.

"It's great to see you guys," Obama announced. "We hope you have a great time today. You guys all look… scary or cool or whatever you're trying to be… awesome. You look awesome. And we hope you have a great time."

The president also offered some words of encouragement to troublemakers everywhere:

"And, in fact, the more candy, the later you eat the candy the better," he said with a smile. "Because I think that you being up all night with a sugar rush is exactly what they're looking for."
