The Lonely Island Is Working On A Project About Their Lives At Berkeley High

When they're not donning nautical-themed pashmina afghans or collaborating with Akon and Kendrick Lamar, The Lonely Island might be bumbling around their hometown of Berkeley, California.

The trio, which consists of SNL vet Andy Samberg and fellow actors Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer, met at Willard Middle School, but truly bonded at Berkeley High in the 1990s.

Clearly, it was an experience that stayed with them long after graduation.

According to Berkeley Side, the group is working on a "project that aims to chronicle their lives in Berkeley."

No word yet on any specifics about the project, but we can probably trust that the makers of "I'm On A Boat" or any of their other shorts can deliver boundless politically-incorrect humor.

Head to Berkeley Side for a few photos of filming.
