You wouldn't see it in this photo of uncertain vintage. The 20-something man posing near the Golden Gate Bridge is one of the tens of thousands of German tourists who visit the Bay Area every year. Unremarkable, right?

Except this is Andreas Lubitz, the co-pilot of Germanwings Flight 9525.

European authorities say he locked the pilot out of the cockpit before that Airbus screamed into the Alps and killed everyone aboard.

Maybe you saw him when he was among us. Perhaps he stood in line next to your family at the cable car turnaround or rode the Alcatraz ferry with your parents.
