Tesla Deliveries Up 70% Since June To 24,500 Vehicles

PALO ALTO (CBS SF) -- Luxury electric automaker Tesla Motors says it has resolved the production problems reported earlier this year and vehicle deliveries have improved.

Third quarter deliveries rose 70 percent to 24,500 cars. The carmaker fell short of its target goals in the previous two quarters.

Since June, Tesla has rolled out cheaper lease deals, discounts and is advertising its inventory cars, "at favorable prices and ready for expedited delivery," according to Reuters.

Tesla says it expects to meet its target of 50,000 vehicle deliveries in the second half of 2016.
