Teens Involved In Violent Bay Area Crime Spree Facing Tough Love From Families
FREMONT (CBS SF) -- Teenagers involved in a crime spree that ended with their arrests in Fremont Tuesday are facing some tough love from their families.
Police linked the group to several burglaries that spanned San Francisco Bay, starting with two robberies in Redwood City, and a home invasion robbery in which a mother was held at gunpoint in front of her children in Fremont.
But, the families of those teens won't be bailing them out.
"Sometimes you have to let some things go down. They aren't boys no more, they are grown men," Pastor and family friend Albert Macklin said.
19-year old Stanley Sherman, 18-year old Anthony Sherman, and 25-year old James Miles of Oakland remained in jail Wednesday. A 15-year old was also arrested in connection with the crimes.
