Teen Killed, 2 Others Hurt In Hayward Saturday-Night Shooting

HAYWARD (CBS SF) -- A 17-year-old boy was killed and two other teens were injured in a shooting in Hayward on Saturday evening, police said.

The shooting was reported at 7:34 p.m. Saturday in front of a home in the 25000 block of Muir Street.

A victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released.

An 18-year-old man was also found at the scene and was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to police.

A third victim, a 17-year-old boy, later showed up at a different hospital and investigators determined he was also a victim in the shooting.

No arrest has been made in the shooting and no suspect information was immediately available. Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to call Detective Jason Mosby at (510) 293-7034.
