Tech Millionaire Anonymously Gifting Bottles Of Wine To Bay Area Diners

DANVILLE (CBS SF) -- A woman known only as the "Secret Somm" has been anonymously gifting diners at Bay Area restaurants with free bottles of wine.

The "Secret Somm," short for sommelier, gifted a bottle of cabernet sauvignon to a couple that happened to be dining at Forbes Mill Steakhouse in Danville last Friday night.
It turned out that the man had been laid off that day, and the couple went out to dinner to help themselves stay positive.

The free bottles are expected to flow through Valentine's Day.

The Visit Tri-Valley visitor's bureau says the "Secret Somm" is a nearby resident who "made millions in the tech industry" and wants to spread good will and help out the local wine industry.

@SecretSommCA has been tweeting hints about where she will be on weekend nights.  She has gifted over fifty bottles so far, worth more than $2,000 to diners across the Bay Area.
